There’s some good news for all Facebook Maniacs who wish to access Facebook right from the Windows Desktop through the official Desktop app. Yes, Facebook is testing out a desktop client integrated with Ticker feature.
However, currently it’s available to only a small group of users for beta testing. The randomly selected Facebook users are being prompted to participate& join the test group via a homepage notification on Facebook itself.
If you aren’t that lucky to be chosen, here is the download link of the app, straight from Facebook itself. It’s been officially stated that that this desktop client only works on Windows 7. So, I didn’t test it on any other Windows version. Be sure to checkout & comment if it works on earlier Windows versions.
